All hikes (unless otherwise noted) are free, however donations are encouraged.
Register for your hike(s) on or before September 6, 2014 and your name will be entered in a draw to win an early registration prize. Winners will be contacted by phone and/or e-mail by Friday, September 12, 2014. Prizes must be picked up on or before Saturday, September 20 by 4 p.m. at the Tourist Info Centre in Minden.
Register early to ensure your spot on the hikes that you are interested in.
New this year is the opportunity to track the number of hikes and/or the kilometres you have hiked during the Hike Haliburton Festival. Pick up your log book at the Blast-Off Barbeque or from your hike leader. Enter your name in a draw to win prizes for each level reached. The levels are based on the number of hikes and/or the distance you have hiked. Once you complete the Platinum Level, mail your log book to Hike Haliburton Festival (address is on the log book) to receive a completion certificate and a prize.
Your log book is valid for years to come. Keep track of how many hikes and the distance you have hiked over the years.
This year the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation is raising money with the sale of two plush Haliburton Huskies: Misha and Mischief. Throughout the weekend a cut-out of Misha at the beginning of your hike indicates that she has lost Mischief and you have the opportunity to find him during your hike. Upon spotting Mischief, take your photo with him and post it to the Hike Haliburton Facebook, Twitter (insert Twitter address) or show us your picture at the Last Step Lunch to be entered to win a prize for the photo scavenger hunt. Let’s see how many photos we can get! Prizes must be picked up at the Last Step Lunch on Sunday, September 21, 2014.
Check out the full listing of hikes and events. This year we’ve made it easy to register with our simple online system. Once you’re registered, you will be able to print a personalized itinerary!
